Nano's Story

so, after 6 years in the hair industry and a failed attempt at buying a house, i decided to go ahead and say yes to the regular and wheedling requests of moss that i accompany him on the pct. the option of the AT was also offered, but the call west is strong having had a california childhood. also it is my opinion that when living out of doors, rain should be a rare and special thing, not an everyday nuisance. i don't want to mold. which brings me to another reason this trip seems necessary; i have become a sissy. i blame it on my job and city living. makeup, hair, outfits, deodorant, "i'm bored," "i'm tired," "can someone else do this for me?" etc. thinking back to my late teens and early twenties i recall a much tougher and less concerned young woman. ooh, which brings me to another good reason; i will turn 30 in october, perhaps right at the end of this massive hike. this seemed like a good way to wear out my twenties along with a few pair of dorky white sneakers.

thanks to all my friends, family, and clients for all of the support thus far. i will keep it with me.
